Player Information Sheet

 

Schedule of Play/Format: 36-holes Four-Ball Stroke Play. In the event of a tie for first place, a hole-by-hole play-off will commence immediately following the close of competition at Marlborough Country Club. 
 

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the MASS GOLF HARD CARD. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the championship site. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition. For a side’s score to count, the correct score for each hole must be individually identifiable on the official scorecard.

Golf Carts, Caddies, & Push/Pull Carts: Golf carts are permitted for the Championship proper and were included in the entry fee. The use of caddies, and push/pull carts is also permitted. No more than two carts are permitted per group, regardless of the number of caddies.

Marlborough Country Club

  • Thursday, April 17th: 8:00am-2:50pm
  • Monday, April 21st: 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Tuesday, April 22nd: 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Monday, April 28th: 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Tuesday, April 29th: 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Thursday, May 1st: 8:00am-2:50pm
  • Tuesday, May 6th: 8:00am-2:50pm

 

Shaker Hills Country Club 

  • Availability – Monday-Wednesday (non-holiday) after 11am

 

Notes

  • In order to schedule a practice round YOU MUST CALL or EMAIL the pro shop. No walk-up times will be available.
    • Please introduce yourself as a competitor in the field.
  • Here is the contact information to schedule a practice round:
  • There will be a MANDATORY cart/trail fee of $50/player ( includes, golf, cart, & range) for a practice round.
    • Shaker Hills CC - CASH & CARD ACCEPTED
    • Marlborough CC – CARD ONLY ACCEPTED
  • Competitors will be limited to one practice round and may be paired up with other Four-Ball Championship competitors.
    • Marlborough CC - Practice round rates are for players only (no guests or caddies)
    • Shaker Hills CC - Practice round rates are for players only - no caddies. All guests (non-participants) would pay the normal public rate.
      • Any days or times outside of that restriction would just be the full public rate.
  • Only one ball may be played per competitor during their practice round.
  • Marlborough Country Club - clubs BLACK tees
  • Shaker Hills Country Club - clubs GOLD tees. On Holes 5, & 16 only, we will be playing from the clubs BLUE tees.

 

Practice Facilities: All practice facilities/areas will be available on both competition days starting at 6:30AM. All players must walk to and from the driving range, no golf carts allowed at the driving range. Players may drive their cars to the chipping area at Shaker Hills Country Club.

Marlborough Country Club - 200 yard max

 

Food & Beverage Services: Mass Golf will provide a complimentary luncheon on Day 1 between 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM. Additional F&B options will be available (drinks, snacks, alcohol, etc.) for players/caddies/spectators at their own expense – Marlborough Country Club (CREDIT CARD ONLY) & Shaker Hills Country Club (CASH/CARD). Players teeing off in the afternoon are encouraged to take advantage of this luncheon before their round. 

 

Prizes: Champion plaques will be awarded to Champions and merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.

Performance Policy: A Four-Ball Championship Performance Policy has been instituted to allow for the most competitive event possible. Both players that represents a side that finishes with a total score greater than the performance policy target score may be subject to having a restricted application in future Four-Ball Championships.
